Several years ago, my sister and I began sewing headbands in our dining rooms – creating a "Hand Made in the USA" - better made, versatile and cute hair accessory for our girls. Remember the classic paisley bandanas you wore as a girl? We’ve created a more modern version of that bandana and called it the Dannaband. We came up with a name that was a fun and memorable play on the traditional spelling of “bandanna”. It really is the better bandana. You no longer have to tie the bandana in the back. Our headbands have an elastic back that keeps it held in place comfortably, and you can adjust it to wear three ways: like a narrow headband, a wide headband, or a bandana.
The girls’ friends loved these stylish headbands so much they begged us to make some for them too. We couldn’t keep up with the requests, so we called in the professionals for cutting and stitching the headbands. Thus Dannaband, the better bandana was born.
Somewhere along the way, we realized we really liked wearing them as a hair accessory too! In fact, sales to women are outpacing the tweens. My sisters and I are sports and outdoor enthusiasts. We run, hike, kayak, ski, bike, play tennis, and do yoga. One sister even rides a motorcycle. Dannaband, the better bandana is the perfect hair accessory for all these activities.
